At Veza, we honour the work of inspiring leaders every single day. Not just the known and notable but rather, everyday women who are drawing upon and celebrating their culture while making a lasting difference in their community using their gifts. From authors and teachers, CEOs to entrepreneurs, not-for-profit directors, artists, and more, these women are changing the face of leadership.

These are truly women to watch and Veza Community is so pleased to share their brilliance.

May their stories inspire YOU to rise.

What motivates/inspires you to get up each morning?

In our current world filled with uncertainty, inundation of technology, and political turmoil, many of us are feeling more and more disconnected from the very thing that has been scientifically proven to determine our overall sense of happiness: our connection to one another. Anxiety, loneliness, depression, and suicide rates continue to rise within our student populations across North America. I want to change that by mobilizing kindness in classrooms and communities across the world, for my own kids and for our students.

What contribution are you most proud of to date?

My KindSight101podcast- I’ve been able to learn so much from world-renowned experts and have been able to impart that new knowledge to my listeners. Also, my work launching the 21-Day kindness challenge, a call to action to all individuals wanting to find happiness and spread it around to others.

What is it that you feel that you teach others through how you act/show up each day?

To truly see oneness another, to be brave enough to show their own vulnerabilities, and to take audacious chances that enable them to live the life they envision for themselves.

What’s one change you would like to see in this world?

To see people choosing connection over hate, kindness over indifference, and that through these choices we would see the rise of a happier, healthier population.
